Chicago
Our first production for 2012, will be directed by Julianne Jackson and musically directed by Jim Noice.
Melanie Heaphy as choreographer and Cathy Yee as wardrobe mistress have also been appointed to the production team.
Preparations are well underway for CHICAGO which will be
on stage at Up-Stage from May 9th May 26th 2012.
CHICAGO is now the longest running musical in Broadway
history. It has been honoured with 6 Tony Awardsฎ, 2 Olivier
Awardsฎ, a Grammyฎ and thousands of standing ovations. With its
universal tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz; one
show-stopping-song after another; and magnificent choreography it's no
surprise that CHICAGO has wowed audiences all around the world, from
Mexico City to Moscow, from Sao Paulo to South Africa, from the United
Kingdom to Upper Hutt. Whether you've seen it before on stage or
at the movies, CHICAGO always delivers.
The production team are looking forward to the challenges ahead
and the exhilaration that is CHICAGO the musical.
Auditions will be held between 10am and 5pm on Saturday 14 January and Sunday 15 January 2012.

Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

REQUIREMENTS FOR AUDITION
Auditions by appointment are essential. Please be
on time.
Auditions will be 10mins
Anyone who arrives late or
without an appointment will be slotted into first available time
be prepared to wait.
Please be prepared for your audition!

Good
copies of music in a clear file for the pianist

If
you have your own backing tracks, a CD/MP3 player will be available

Know
the words to the song you are performing

Choose a song that will showcase your ability

You
may be asked to sing one of the songs from the show

You
may be required to read from the script
-
You
may be stopped at any time during your audition

Dancers will
be required to learn and perform a short audition dance routine. Please
wear appropriate shoes.
