UHMT was established in 1975 and owns it own theatre Up-Stage which is located at 26A Moonshine Road, Upper Hutt. It has a membership of around 90 people, all various ages. UHMT produce shows from the large musicals (Chicago, My Fair Lady) to revues and children's pantos.
